At Chocolate Bayou Credit Union, we love opportunities to give back to those in need. Below are some campaigns we’ve conducted, so far this year in 2021! We would not be able to do this if it wasn’t for our wonderful staff and supportive members! If you’d like to help us make a difference, please follow us on social media to partake in one of our donation opportunities.
Ronald McDonald House
So far in 2021 we have hosted many drives for our community. We began the year by delivering thousands of can tabs to the Ronald McDonald House! Our employees, Dianna and Alyssa, took a giant bin full of tabs to donate. We collect these tabs year-round, so begin saving your tabs and bring to any Chocolate Bayou branch to help us make a difference!
Forgotten Angels Foundation
We donated six boxes full of clothes, shoes, handbags, and jewelry to the Forgotten Angels Foundation! Our wonderful employees gathered these items to donate to this great foundation!
Alvin & Pearland Animal Shelters
Our wonderful employees and members collected many bags of food, treats, toys, and more for our local animal shelters. In addition, we donated $250 to the Pearland Shelter and sponsored two dogs’ and two cats’ sterilization fees at the Alvin Shelter!
School Supplies Drive
Our staff and members of the community gathered many school supplies for the student and teachers in need this school year. Over 300 plus items were gathered and we loved seeing smiling faces when we delivered them. We can’t wait to donate more next year.
We filled six blessing boxes in the Pearland and Alvin area! Our employees and members donated the food, and we couldn’t be more thankful. We’re happy to spread love around our communities.
When we conduct a food drive, we post on social media and advertise at our branch. At the end of our food drive, we disperse the donations to the Alvin/Manvel Food Pantry, Pearland Neighborhood Center, and Blessing Boxes! If you’d like to participate, follow our Facebook Page for updates on our next food drive!
